Stanley Cavell was my favorite living philosopher.
He has passed, and so changed categories: he is now a favorite philosopher, taking his place alongside Wittgenstein and Austin and others.
His search for a voice in philosophy inspired me, although his voice was the one hardest for me not to echo (poorly, poorly, of course, but still…)
I hope to post something longer soon.

From the Well, That Happened file: I covered a SF59 song and the cover snuck onto this album of covers. And, yes, that is my dog who joins in at the very end. Just him, me, my guitar and an iPad. Probably should have let my dog handle the vocals entirely.
